GreenEyes Limited

Established in 2005 as 'Emissions Reduction Limited', GreenEyes is a company dedicated 100% to the deployment of technologies and services that will accelerate reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from human activity. The founders have significant proven commercial experience and the company is devoted to realizing the extraordinary potential represented by the Eyecatcher videophone. Co-founder Paul Dickinson observes: "The Eyecatcher is a landmark product. It represents the key breakthrough in video communications. Like the Model T Ford, it is not the biggest or the most expensive, but it is by far the best design, and we expect, like Ford, to sell millions."

Paul Dickinson, Director

Paul is also Co-founder and Chief Executive of the Carbon Disclosure Project.  CDP provides a coordinating secretariat for 330 investors with assets of over $40 trillion who request information on greenhouse gas emissions from over 2,400 corporations. With more than 1,000 large corporations reporting, the CDP web site www.cdproject.net is the largest registry of corporate greenhouse gas emissions in the world. All data is available for download without charge. CDP is supported by the UK, US, French, Swedish and Australian governments. CDP is applauded by political and business leaders including Bill Clinton, Angela Merkel, Tony Blair, Al Gore and Rupert Murdoch. Paul is a Member of the Environmental Research Group of the UK Faculty and Institute of Actuaries. Paul is Founder of EyeNetwork, the largest videoconference booking service in Europe, a former board director of Social Venture Network Europe. MSc Responsibility and Business Practice from University of Bath, author of five books including Beautiful Corporations (2000, Financial Times Prentice Hall). John Merrell, Director

Following a successful international career, predominantly in the Consulting, Technology and IT sectors, John has spent the past 5 years as a serial entrepreneur as well as an active angel investor. Prior to this he founded, built and sold Baan’s largest international systems integrator and was Group Vice President of ATOS Origin. He sits on the board of several technology companies and has lived and worked in the United States, Japan, Singapore, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands and more recently, the UK.

Nick Silver FIA, Director

Nick Silver is finance director to GreenEyes. Nick Silver is actuary to Parhelion Capital Limited, a specialist climate change insurer. He is chairman of the Actuarial Profession’s Environmental Research Group, business co-ordinator of the Carbon Disclosure Project and a member of the Climate Change Working Party at Lloyd’s and the London Climate Change Partnership. He has written extensively on the impact of Climate Change on the financial sector. Nick is a Senior Honorary Visiting Fellow at Cass Business School. Nick was previously a consulting actuary with Punter Southall and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Gary Harper, Business Development Manager

Joined the Graduate programme for StorageTek in 2004, a Data Storage Vendor who provide IT management solutions globally.  Subsequently acquired by SUN Microsystems in 2005, Gary’s focus was on new business sales.   After a year he joined EMC, global market leader in Data Management, as a Sales Account Manager working with partners such as Dell, also largely in New Business Development.   After a year and a half he moved to FAST, a Norwegian company who provide custom Enterprise Search Software for businesses world-wide and the Government.

Claire Taylor, Marketing and Business Development Manager

Claire has spent 13 years in the Fund Management industry, predominantly managing and building client relationships.   She spent 9 years at Baring Asset Management where she learnt all aspects of fund management, dealing, sales and administration.  She then moved on to Reuters, where she was Client Relationship Manager for their newly acquired fund data provider, Lipper Limited.  After a year and half, she moved to private equity firm, W J Hopper Limited, where she was responsible for raising investor capital for Private Equity Technology Funds, marketed by the firm.
